Mumbai Dabbawalas share their story of success with students & faculty of Suryadatta Group of Institutes

 

Pune, September 5^rd, 2012: Mumbai Dabbawalas, who are world famous for their food supply network, visited the campus of Suryadatta Group of Institutes to share their ‘six sigma’ standard of delivering Tiffin boxes across Mumbai with the students and the faculty members of the institute. Mr. Raghunath Medge, President of Nutan Mumbai Tiffin Box Suppliers Charity Trust (NMTBSA) and Mr. Gangaram Talekar, General Secretary of NMTBSA presented their unique and error free method of carrying out their supply chain of Tiffin.

 

The Dabbawalas shared their secret of delivering 2 lakh dabbas on time with an accuracy rate of 99.99% with 100% customer satisfaction. This is the perfect example of excellent supply chain and logistics management. Mr. Raghunah Medge, President of NMTBSA said, “Coming to Suryadatta campus gives us immense happiness as we get to share our practical knowledge to shape the next generation of managers.”

MTNL and WeSchool collaborate to launch new programs in Telecom Management

WeSchool signs Memorandum of Understanding with MTNL’s Center for Excellence in Telecom Technology and Management

Mumbai, 6 September 2012: Mahangar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) and Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research (WeSchool) in a joint press conference announced their strategic alliance to launch two new management courses for Telecom sector. The announcement was marked with signing of a Memorandum of Association (MoU) between WeSchool and MTNL–CETTM (Center for Excellence in Telecom Technology and Management), a Government of India enterprise. The industry-academia partnership will develop and deliver the programs in telecom management that aim towards developing skills required to meet the growing opportunities and challenges in telecom ecosystem.

The two courses introduced are Post Graduate Program in Telecom Management (PGPTM) and Certificate Course in Telecom Marketing & Management (CTMM), the duration of which will be 11 months and 3 months respectively. They will be autonomous in nature, the lectures on Telecom topics will be given at the CETTM training center and management lectures will be conducted at WeSchool campus. Placement assistance will be provided to the students upon the successful completion of the course.

According to Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool, “We are highly privileged to be the first Business School to join hands with MTNL to introduce specialized management programmes for Telecom sector. The eligibility for the Post Graduate Program in Telecom Management (PGPTM) would be any Graduate or Engineering Diploma Holders from a Statutory University or Institution, While for the Certificate Course in Telecom Marketing & Management (CTMM) any working professional or a 12th Science Pass or 10 + 2 ITI / MCVC can apply.
