Kozhikode, 1 January 2016: Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) will
be hosting the 52nd Annual Conference of The Indian Econometric
Society (TIES) from 4 to 6 January, 2016 at the IIM Kozhikode
campus.
TIES Conference is a major annual academic event
in India which brings together economists and econometricians to deliberate,
collaborate and share their research findings. Prof. Pami Dua, Director, Delhi School of Economics is the
Conference President.
Some of the prominent speakers in the conference
are Mr.
Rana Kapoor, Chairman of Yes Bank, Prof B. B. Bhattacharya, former Vice Chancellor of JNU and Prof Subhash
Ray, University of Connecticut, USA and so on.
The conference will have several technical
sessions and presentation of the Mahalanobis Memorial Medal Awards for
2014 and Prof. MJ Manohar Rao Awards for 2014 and 2015. Around 300
research scholars and academics will present their papers at this prestigious
academic platform. Prof. Roy Batchelor, Cass Business School, London will
deliver the inaugural address.
There will
be panel discussions on the following:

Kerala
economy where economists and policy makers will be debating whether the state economy is a
leader or a laggard
·
International
money and finance, involving panelists from RBI and academia
The Indian Econometric Society (TIES) is one of
the oldest and largest bodies of professional econometricians and economists
with more than 2000 members from all over India working for the development of
econometric methodology and applications.
