Brigade Group ties up with IIM Bangalore to sponsor one of their flagship events at their Annual Business Festival

Bangalore– Brigade Group, one of India’s leading Real Estate player, has tied up with IIM-Bangalore to sponsor one of their flagship events – a Business Case Competition - at their Annual Business Festival – Vista.
There are 4 domains within this inter collegiate competition – Finance, Marketing Operations and Strategy. Trojan Horse is the flagship event within the strategy domain.
For this event, Brigade Group creates a case study on one of the many facets of the organization. A business problem requiring an innovative strategy for resolution is presented in the case.
Finalists get to interact with the leadership team Brigade Group who also form the judges panel for the event.
The event is mutually beneficial to both – Brigade Group and the participants.
The participants get the rare opportunity to work on a LIVE case for one of the Top 10 developers in the country. It puts them in the hot seat and gives them a chance to be at the helm of decision making for a large corporate house.  The case competition is a multi stage strategy event testing not only the ability to make the best recommendations, but also the courage to stand and respond to a changing environment.
“It gives MBA students the exposure to work on a live case study, with real quotes from real people with real problems and real data! It’s is as real as it gets and there is no substitute for this kind exposure and learning in a top notch MBA program” says Nirupa Shankar, Director at Brigade Group.
For Brigade, it gets the opportunity to reach out to GenY for innovative suggestions and ideas and also the chance to find prospective new hires. The team at Brigade not only intends to implement the relevant solutions proposed by the teams but also considers the finalists for an internship opportunity with Brigade.
 Last year, the case was on “ Innovative Marketing Strategy for Brigade Orchards” and turned out to be a huge success. A 35 page case study was authored, with more than 120 teams registering for the event. There were 90 submissions, of which 6 teams were selected for a final live presentation at IIM-B.
This year, the topic is “Digital Marketing Strategy for Brigade Hospitality”.      The finals will be held on September 27th at IIM-Bangalore.
