UpGrad, the online higher education platform co-founded by Ronnie
Screwvala and Mayank Kumar early last year, announced the launch of their
Product Management Program at the Product Management Mini-Conclave held in
association with Venturesity on 28th May 2016. The Product
Management program is the fourth from UpGrad that caters to working
professionals looking to upgrade and expand their skill sets and will commence
towards end of July 2016. The five month online program is designed in
collaborations with seasoned product professionals from India and the
Silicon Valley.
The program focuses on insights from live industry case studies and
projects to help build a holistic perspective of managing products. It is
designed specifically to enable professionals to successfully transition from
other fields such as engineering, design, digital marketing and operations and
grow within a product management career to become industry leaders.
UpGrad also organised a panel discussion during the conclave titled “Demystifying Product Management”
featuring prominent industry leaders Ankur
Sharma - Director Products, GoIbibo; Sanket Gupta - Product Manager, Google;
Anish Tripathi - AVP Product Design,
Bookmyshow; Manish Jethani - Head – Consumer Products, Grofers & Founder,
Spoonjoy with Ravijot Chugh, Co-Founder & Product Head, UpGrad as the
moderator. The panellists spoke at length about the product management
landscape and opportunities in India and skill gaps in the industry while
sharing personal anecdotes from their careers.

mentor students during the program.

The program is geared towards getting industry-ready product managers and will
be a mix of best practices in product management, real world case studies and
hands-on projects developed in collaboration with industry.
The program will be
launched in July 2016.
