Delhi based students of MISB Bocconi win Barilla Good4 and a swooping sum of 15,000 euros

Barilla, one of the biggest pasta manufacturing companies in the world, organised the well-known 'Barilla Good4’ competition recently. The competition consisted of two rounds for three separate categories - Good for Planet, Good for Communities and Good for Wellbeing and was aimed at business students under the age of 30.
Competing with over 250 teams from across the world, brothers Gaurav and Abhishek Sharma, represented MISB Bocconi at the prestigious event. The duo won a grand cash prize worth 15,000 euros after presenting to an international jury consisting of a World Health Organisation representatives, top managers of Barilla, CEO of Dallara Motors to name a few.

The business idea suggested by the brothers for the 'Good for Planet' category aimed to improve the share of the farmers in the value chain by cutting down the various links between a farmer and the end consumer. The strategy suggested ways to reduce the wastage of wheat that happens throughout the value chain while storing and transporting the grains from one place to the other.
With students from countries like North America, South America, Africa, Europe and Asia competing, only two teams qualified for the final round held in Milan and Parma, Italy.
