Mumbai:
Looking to transform youngsters even without higher educational qualifications into
job-creators, VES Institute of Management Studies & Research (VESIMSR) has
set up a Centre of Excellence for Entrepreneurship that would run various
innovative initiatives for promoting entrepreneurship.
VESIMSR, the premier management institution in
Maharashtra, has tied up with the Union Ministry of MSME and SME Chamber of
India to support the youngsters and working people by imparting knowledge and
practical experience, and become successful entrepreneurs.
The Centre will run special programmes, help incubate
the startups, create awareness about entrepreneurship, facilitate funding,
create business plans, hold lectures, and assist in licensing formalities.
“This centre, though set up by a management institute,
will be open to all categories of people, whether housewives or students,
working people or small time entrepreneurs who wish to launch business or
accelerate their existing ventures,” said VESIMR director Dr Satish Modh.
“The best part of the initiative is that you don’t
need to be a graduate to take assistance from the Centre. Those without any
education can also join our programmes. There is no need of a degree to be
successful entrepreneur,” he added.

Department.
As the first programme of Centre of Excellence, a
weekend programme will be launched from September for aspiring entrepreneurs.

participant owns a business, apart from the managerial and practical lessons on
